Maryam Putris is an articling student at Linley Welwood. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2016, and graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Brunswick in 2019.
While attending the University of New Brunswick, Maryam volunteered at the Fredericton Legal Aid Clinic, a non-profit organization that offers free legal advice and information to clients in the Fredericton area. Maryam was also an active member in UNB’s Immigration and Refugee Initiative and an executive leader in the International Law Society. During her final year of law school, Maryam had an opportunity to intern at the New Brunswick Child Youth Advocate Centre, which allowed her to develop her interest in child rights and passion for international law.
Outside of the office, Maryam enjoys hiking, painting and spending time with family and friends.
Maryam is fluent in Arabic.
