“We have used Linley Welwood since our company started for our corporate, development and conveyancing for three main reasons.  Linley Welwood is professional, proficient, and equally as important, they are personable.  Not only do we trust that they will do the work we need at a reasonable price, but they are organized and efficient in helping us strategize and achieve our goals.  Finally, we enjoy meeting with the lawyers and staff as they are simply fantastic people to deal with!”
~ Scott Street, Business Manager & Co-Owner, Summit Pacific Properties Ltd.

Should I consult a lawyer before signing an agreement of
purchase and sale?

Making your agreement of purchase and sale conditional upon your lawyer's review and satisfaction will help ensure that you have a thorough understanding of the terms of the agreement before signing it. It will also give you the chance to receive legal advice on the terms of the agreement and to make any necessary changes based on sound legal advice.

Do I need a lawyer to refinance or increase my mortgage?

While a lawyer is not required for refinancing or increasing a mortgage, there may be situations in which a lawyer is required to go back and register additional documents after a client has refinanced their mortgage with the bank. Choosing to have a real estate lawyer to help you refinance or increase your mortgage will ensure that you and your bank will be provided with a properly registered mortgage in a timely manner.
