Whiplash can be diagnosed through X-rays, MRIs and CT scans. You may be given physiotherapy, painkillers or chiropractic care to deal with it. If untreated, whiplash can make other healing take much longer.
It’s important to keep accurate records of your physical symptoms, as whiplash can sometimes be misdiagnosed when what you actually have is a more serious neck or spinal injury.
It’s also important to not rush toward a whiplash settlement. Most people assume whiplash will resolve itself and may not realize until after the settlement that their whiplash symptoms are persisting, but that they now have no ability to claim for them.
